A new version of the Combined Nomenclature (CN) has been published by the European Commission on 31 October 2022 and will be applicable from 1 January 2023. The CN is used for the classification of goods and provides the basis for the declaration of goods at importation or exportation.
The CN is updated on a yearly basis and determines which rate of customs duty applies. We recommend businesses to check whether the changes can have an impact on the classification of your products in order to prevent filing any incorrect declarations.
